Security warning when using internet banking
In order to ensure the transaction security of customers on Internet Banking, VRB recommends to customers as follows:
* Secure transaction account of Internet Banking:
DO NOT reveal Username and Password in any form. Password needs to be changed in the first time access and periodically (at least once per month). The length of password is at least 8 characters, including lowercase, capital, number, special characters.
* Safe access:
- Only access to the VRB Internet Banking website has been authenticated at:
https://ibanking.vrbank.com.vn
https://ebanking.vrbank.com.vn
- DO NOT access to other links which are not provided by VRB. VRB is not responsible for the cases which customers disclose or provide customers’ information to other objects taking advantage of loss of information and assets of customers.
* Security of access Device, Authentication Device:
- Log out the program when the transaction is completed.
- Install anti-virus programs, anti-spyware, anti-Key logger ...
- Frequently update operating system patches. Do not open emails with strange links or attached files.
- Do not use Internet Banking in public computers. Preserve authenticity equipment, and avoid revealing, losing.
- Do not save username on web browsers, do not install software, utilities from the websites that are not trusted, not copyright.
- Exit Internet Banking when not in use.
- Protect OTP information and do not share devices that store this information.
- Set up secret password and change account password secretly at least once a year or when it is revealed.
- Do not use unlocked mobile devices to download and use the software application Internet Banking, software creates OTP.
- Currently, VRB provides both forms of transaction authentication via OTP SMS and OTP Token, in which encouraging customers to use OTP Token to increase security.
